Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Traffic Engineering Project Manager to join our dynamic Civil Engineering firm based in Fairfax VA. This role involves overseeing project development from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with regulations and delivering high-quality solutions to complex traffic engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage traffic engineering projects from inception to completion.
Conduct traffic studies and analysis to support project development and design.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to traffic engineering.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil engineers and planners, to deliver comprehensive solutions.
Utilize traffic modeling software to simulate traffic conditions and assess project impacts.
Prepare and present technical reports and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff on best practices in traffic engineering.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in traffic engineering and project management.
Proficiency in traffic engineering software such as Microstation, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Synchro, HCS, Sidra, and VISSIM preferred.
Strong analytical and data analysis skills with a focus on traffic engineering principles.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey technical information.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
