Sr. Project Manager - Land Development

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with 10+ years experience in Civil Engineering to join our growing team in Monroe, CT. A successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team and contributing to the growth of an up and coming firm. Responsibilities will include the management of planning, design, permitting, preparation of specifications, septic design, stormwater calculations, and technical reports for a variety of land development projects. You will be able to see projects from initial concept through completion. 

Position Overview
The Sr. Project Manager - Land Development will oversee the planning and execution of land development projects from inception to completion. This role requires a strong background in civil engineering and project management, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget while meeting all regulatory requirements and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple land development projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful completion.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to establish project objectives and deliverables.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and monitor progress throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to land development.
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to evaluate the potential for development projects.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D to create detailed site plans and designs.
  • Prepare and present project updates and reports to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the land development sector.
  • Proven expertise in site development and civil engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
