The owner of this steel shop called me this morning and told me that he needs an experienced QC Manager (5+ years exp) with the following qualifications:

5+ years QC management experience
Structural steel experience
A CWI is a plus
AISC experience is a plus

This shop is growing and is urgently looking to bring another QC manager on board. These guys do a lot of highway component, structural steel, and bridge component work.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement quality control policies and procedures.
Oversee the inspection and testing of products to ensure they meet quality standards.
Manage a team of quality control inspectors and provide training and support.
Conduct audits to ensure compliance with ISO standards and regulatory requirements.
Analyze quality control data to identify areas for process improvement.
Facilitate problem-solving initiatives to address quality issues.
Prepare and maintain documentation related to quality control processes and outcomes.
Collaborate with other departments to promote quality awareness and improve product quality.
Implement risk management strategies to minimize quality-related risks.

Required Qualifications

5+ years QC manager experience
Structural steel experience

Preferred Qualifications

CWI
AISC experience or equivalent
Strong knowledge of ISO standards and regulatory compliance.
Bridge experience
