Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Osage, IA

Salary: $70-115k DOE

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and improving manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure quality standards are met. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Design and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Conduct time studies and process analysis to identify areas for improvement.
Implement Lean manufacturing techniques and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance operations.
Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of new products.
Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures.
Lead Kaizen events and 5S initiatives to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and provide solutions to production problems.
Train and mentor production staff on new processes and technologies.

Qualifications

3+ years of manufacturing or industrial engineering experience.
Proficient in CAD software, specifically AutoCAD.
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodology.
Experience with Kaizen and 5S practices in a manufacturing environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.
