Litigation Assistant

Position Overview
The Litigation Assistant will provide essential support to attorneys in the preparation and management of legal cases, ensuring all documentation is accurate and deadlines are met. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and organization of the litigation process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in the preparation of legal documents including briefs, pleadings, and motions.
  • Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
  • Manage case files and ensure that all documents are filed in compliance with court rules.
  • Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, and meetings with clients and other legal professionals.
  • Maintain and update case management databases and tracking systems.
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and court personnel as needed for case management.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Litigation Assistant, Legal Assistant, or similar role in a law firm or legal setting.
  • Familiarity with litigation procedures and legal terminology.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficient in legal research tools and case management software.
