Lead Controls Engineer

Position Overview
The Lead Controls Engineer will oversee and manage the design, development, and implementation of control systems for automation projects. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met efficiently and effectively, while also providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of control systems for automation projects.
Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications.
Provide technical expertise in the selection and programming of control hardware and software, including PLCs and robotic systems.
Develop and execute test plans to validate control system functionality and performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing control systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
Mentor and guide junior engineers in best practices for controls engineering and automation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in controls engineering, with a focus on automation systems.
Proficiency in programming and configuring Fanuc and Epson robots.
Strong knowledge of PLC programming, particularly with Allen Bradley and Siemens systems.
Experience in developing and implementing control strategies for automated systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
