Job Title: Tax Manager - Trust & Estate/HNW Focused
Location: Green Meadows area or Fremont
In Office Requirement: Hybrid available (2-5 days a week)
Salary: $120K - $180K + Full Benefits + Bonus

We are a midsize CPA firm with about 25 employees. We are a full service Public Accounting firm offering Tax, Audit, and Accounting services. We see a high number of High-profile HNWI/UHNWIs that are coming from Big Four and national firms looking for a more personal touch to their services. We also work on a range of entities including complex partnerships, s-corps, and c-corps. Industry-wise we have a large number of entities in the Construction, Agriculture, Wholesale & Distribution, along with your standard closely held businesses. We look to keep the work life balance as a priority with busy seasons staying in the 45-55 hours range and then we offer Fridays off every week between labor day and memorial day. We provide full medical, dental, vision while covering 70% of the premium. We also have UNLIMTED PTO.
What you will be doing
Tax Compliance & Planning - Oversee tax return preparation for trusts, estates, and high-net-worth clients. Develop tax strategies for wealth transfer, minimizing estate and gift taxes.
Client Management - Act as primary contact, addressing client inquiries and providing tailored tax planning and compliance advice.
Research & Analysis - Conduct tax research to solve client-specific issues and identify planning opportunities.
Staff Supervision - Review and mentor staff on trust and estate tax return preparation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work with internal teams and external advisors to align tax strategies with clients' broader financial goals.
Regulatory Knowledge - Stay updated on tax law changes, ensuring compliance and advising clients on adjustments as needed.
Business Development - Support growth initiatives by building client relationships, developing new business, and enhancing the firm's trust and estate services.
Requirements
7+ Years in Public Accounting
Active CPA, EA, or JD
Experience Preparing, Reviewing, and Signing off on individual, business, and fiduciary returns
Heavy Exp. with Trust & Estate Clients
Ability to work directly with clients as the main point of contact & manager relationship
Expert at tax planning
Ability to conduct complex tax research and stay up to date on current tax law and tax codes

Base Salary: $120,000-$180,000
