Tax Accountant

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, and providing strategic tax planning advice to clients. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses
Conduct thorough tax research to ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations
Provide tax planning and savings strategies to clients
Assist in tax audits and represent clients before tax authorities when necessary
Maintain accurate records and documentation for all tax-related activities
Collaborate with clients to build strong relationships and understand their tax needs
Utilize tax software and Microsoft Office Suite for efficient tax preparation and analysis
Stay updated on tax law changes and participate in continuing education for professional development

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA certification preferred
Proven experience in tax preparation and planning
Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations
Experience with tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Experience in client relationship management
Willingness to engage in continuing education and professional development for career advancement
