Title: Lead Controls Engineer
Location: Arlington, TX
Salary: $100,000 - $140,000
Founded in 1989 we are a 80 employee systems integrator for packaging, material handling, and vision systems. Over the past 2 years we've experience a 35% headcount growth primarily focused around operations as we continue to expand client base and gain market share in the space. For this controls engineer position you will do PLC programming as well as panel design with MINIMAL if any travel. We are looking for someone who can help lead our team and make business decisions to help move us in the right direction.
What You Will Be Doing
- Program PLC's in Allen Bradley
- Design Panel schematics, layouts and assemble project drawings leveraging AutoCAD Electrical
- Interact with clients to understand their needs for upcoming projects.
- On RARE occasions travel to client sites. Some of our engineers don't even travel.
- Work with field service teams during install to help troubleshoot any issues that could arise.
- Work with the controls team schedule jobs and do some training.
What You Need for this Position
- Bachelors in Chemical / Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or closely related field is ideal
- 5+ years controls engineering experience. Experience in the Industrial Automation or Systems Integration space would be preferred.
- Experience working with AC/DC, Servo, Stepper drives and motors or motor control hardware is desired.
