Job Summary:
We are seeking a Quality Engineer with at least one year of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS) and an aerospace background. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement, maintain, and improve Quality Management Systems (QMS) in compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and other aerospace standards.
- Conduct internal audits, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions to resolve quality issues.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.
- Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and support customer and regulatory audits.
- Utilize statistical analysis and process control methods to improve quality and reduce defects.
- Assist in the development and review of quality documentation, work instructions, and inspection procedures.
- Provide support for supplier quality management, including supplier evaluations and performance monitoring.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum one year of experience in quality engineering, preferably in the aerospace industry.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and other aerospace quality standards.
- Experience with QMS implementation, audits, and corrective actions.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis, problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5-Whys, FMEA, etc.), and risk assessment.
- Familiarity with GD&T, statistical process control (SPC), and inspection techniques.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with supplier quality management and working with external regulatory bodies.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles.
- Certification in ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar is a plus.
