Maintenance Manager (Food MFG / Packaging)

Position Overview
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair operations of the food manufacturing and packaging facility. This role ensures that all equipment operates efficiently and safely, adhering to food safety standards while minimizing downtime through effective maintenance strategies and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and lead the maintenance team to ensure optimal performance of all equipment and systems in the facility.
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to enhance equipment reliability.
Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track maintenance activities and manage work orders.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance without disrupting operations.
Train and mentor maintenance staff on best practices in maintenance and food safety compliance.
Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and areas for improvement in equipment reliability.
Manage maintenance budgets and optimize costs related to maintenance operations.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in maintenance management within food manufacturing or packaging environments.
Strong knowledge of maintenance practices, including CMMS, reliability engineering, and preventive maintenance strategies.
Experience with food safety standards and regulations in manufacturing settings.
Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a diverse team.
Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve maintenance processes.
