Job Title: Environmental Compliance Specialist
Location: Orange, CA
Salary: $80-120k DOE

We are a national environmental consulting firm that specializes in assessment and remediation of soil, soil gas and groundwater; environmental compliance; and storm and wastewater design and consulting. We are headquartered in Orange, California, and have a regional office in Annapolis, Maryland.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our team in Orange, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring our company is in compliance with local, state and federal regulations. You will also be responsible for field inspections, waste management, hazardous material, air quality, stormwater, and wastewater management. You should have an in-depth understanding of regulatory compliance, permits, compliance auditing, storage tank regulations, SWPPP, MS4, TMDL, and other related requirements.

What You Will Be Doing

In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, auditing, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This will include conducting field inspections, monitoring hazardous materials, and managing waste management. You will also be responsible for implementing new regulations and standards as needed.

What You Need for this Position

You will need at least 5+ years of experience with:
- Environmental Project Compliance
- Environmental Consulting
- Environmental Compliance Audits for Stormwater, Wastewater, Petroleum Storage Tanks, Air Quality, Hazardous Waste & Materials (not all are required)
- Federal, State, and Local Regulatory Agencies and Regulations (U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Toxic Substances Control, California Regional Water Quality Control Board, local CUPAs, etc.)
- California Environmental Reporting System (CERS)
- Developing Standard Operating Plans (SOPs), Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), Permits, Reports
- Site Assessment, Testing (contaminants, hazardous & non-hazardous), Remediation, Due Diligence

Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related discipline is required.

Reliable transportation is required for this role. Must be able to travel to job sites and walk on uneven surface.
