Growing and stable company for over 130 years seeking electrical/electrical design engineer to join our team.
Location: Cranberry Township (work from home 2 days/week)
Ideal Candidate:
Will have a strong understanding of electrical engineering components.
Will have experience creating schematics.
Works well within a team and across departments.
Position Responsibilities:
Electrical design of power and control circuits including component selection and electrical panel layouts.
Create a bill of materials (BOMs) in Infor CSI for release to Purchasing Department.
Create electrical schematics and layout drawings in AutoCAD-Electrical CAD software for release to Production Department.
Research and select for use various electrical components.
Design and assemble prototype devices and products.
Perform various electrical tests on products.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
Work with Sales, Engineering, and Production to understand the necessary flow and design of control systems for material handling, marking, and inspection systems.
Required Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and AutoDesk Suite.
Ability to read and create electrical schematics using NFPA and IEC standards.
Experience with board level circuit design and microcontroller programming (FPGA, PIC, etc.)
Working knowledge of Infor CSI and Arena (PLM) manufacturing software.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Valid driver's license, as employee will be required to travel to client sites as needed.
Preferred Experience:
Knowledge of PLC programming and automation systems.
Proficiency in Allen-Bradley Suite.
Working knowledge of Vault, AutomationDirect, and similar software is a plus.
Familiarity with applicable codes and standards such as NEC, NFPA 79, UL508a.
Experience with networking and common industrial protocols (EtherNet/IP and PROFINET).
Board level circuit design and microcontroller programming (FPGA, PIC, etc.) a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Experience in the manufacturing field is a plus.
