Job Title: EHS Manager
Location: Latonia Lakes, KY
Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 (Negotiable)
THIS IS AN ON-SITE ROLE
Position Overview: The facility's compliance with local, state, and federal EHS requirements is the responsibility of this role. The Plant EHS Manager engages with all levels of the organization in the administration, training, and implementation of corporate EHS policies, procedures, and program activities as a member of the Plant Management Team.
Responsibilities:
Encourage, uphold, and lead the Plant's safety culture.
Understand laws and policies that different regulatory bodies have as they relate to the Plant.
Oversee the company's EHS initiatives that will either surpass or fulfill EPA and OSHA regulations.
Oversee and advance the Plant's Environmental Management System (ISO-14001).
Provide EHS training to staff members and promptly address any safety or environmental issues.
To spot possible inconsistencies in compliance and track the effectiveness of the program, conduct EHS inspections at the plant.
Support the Plant's incident management initiatives, such as CAPA, investigations, and emergency management.
When necessary, act as a liaison with regulatory bodies.
Take the lead in utilizing and enhancing the Plant's EHS management system software.
To guarantee effective communication of plant EHS compliance conditions, gather, compile, and transmit plant EHS information to corporate stakeholders.
Help ensure that EHS management systems are reviewed and improved in accordance with business objectives.
Collaborate with the leadership of the plant to create and implement waste reduction strategies, with a focus on hazardous waste removal.
Carry out other job-related tasks as delegated by corporate and plant management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field
5+ years of EHS experience
Manufacturing and Process Safety Management experience
Experience in implementing or using ISO Quality, Environmental, and/or Safety management systems.
