Civil Project Manager - Roadway/DOT
Position Overview
The Civil Project Manager - Roadway/DOT is responsible for managing all aspects of roadway and DOT projects from the development and execution of project plans to the successful completion of projects. The Civil Project Manager will oversee project planning, scheduling, cost control, and quality control of assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and timelines
Manage the bidding process for contractors and suppliers
Develop estimates and proposals for DOT and roadway projects
Monitor project progress to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks
Oversee project quality control to ensure compliance with standards and regulations
Manage relationships with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers
Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
Prepare and submit project reports to clients and management
Resolve any potential issues or delays that may arise during the project
Monitor project costs to ensure budget adherence
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
5+ years of experience managing DOT and roadway projects
Knowledge of asphalt paving and other construction materials
Proven track record of successful project management
Proficiency in working with project management software
Strong technical and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with budgeting and estimating
Knowledge of utilities (nice to have)
