We are seeking an Electrical BIM/VDC Specialist to support our construction and design teams by developing and managing Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) processes. This role is critical in ensuring accurate, efficient, and coordinated electrical system designs for a variety of commercial and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage 3D BIM models for electrical systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to integrate electrical models with other trades
- Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and other BIM software to create detailed construction documentation.
- Conduct clash detection and resolve coordination issues with other disciplines using Navisworks or similar tools.
- Assist in pre-construction planning by producing visualizations, shop drawings, and construction sequencing models.
- Work closely with field teams to support implementation and resolve design conflicts.
- Ensure all electrical models comply with industry standards, codes, and client specifications.
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings and support VDC strategies to improve project efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in Electrical BIM/VDC modeling within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, layouts, and coordination with other trades.
- Experience in clash detection, model auditing, and construction documentation.
- Knowledge of NEC codes and electrical design principles.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with engineers, contractors, and project teams.
